GEORGIA SIMPSON   project director
Georgia originally worked as an actress and musician in theatres across the UK including Birmingham Rep, Lyric Theatre Belfast, Basingstoke Haymarket and Newbury Watermill.  She moved into the casting side of the industry in 2002, assisting on various West End theatre productions as well as projects for The Peter Hall Company, Shared Experience and Sheffield Crucible.  Casting Assistant work in television includes the series Teachers, 20 Things To Do Before You’Äôre 30, and Second Generation (all for Channel 4), Fallen for LWT and Quite Ugly One Morning for Clerkenwell Films.  As a Casting Director Georgia’Äôs projects include the award-winning Five Minutes of Heaven (winner of the Screenwriting and Directing Awards at the Sundance Film Festival), Cherrybomb, and Best: His Mother’Äôs Son for BBC TV.
Georgia moved to Belfast in 2004 and began working with pbm as producer of the critically acclaimed production of Alice The Musical. In the same year she toured Ireland and South Korea with The Magic Hat for Cahoots NI and has since gone on to score and musically directed a number of circus performances including an acclaimed collaboration with Circus Bone Idle. 
In 2005 Georgia worked as pbm's Production Co-ordinator on productions of The Red Project, Hansel & Grettel, and The McCool Project and she musically directed Pinocchio for An Grianˆ°n Theatre in Co. Donegal.  In 2006, appointed as the company's Project Director, Georgia directed the new production of pbm's Pinocchio for Co. Tipperary's Source Arts Centre and Co. Dublin's Pavilion Theatre and has produced the company’Äôs annual summer training programmes The McCool Summer School (2007), The Alice The Musical Summer School (2008), and The Pinocchio Summer School (2009), The Hansel & Grettel Summer School (2010), and The Red Summer School (2011).
